Morley first played for silent film in January 2016 for a 9.5mm film group meet-up in Pimlico, London, and immediately loved the experience. Soon after she became one of the resident pianists for the Kennington Bioscope held at the London Cinema Museum and then in October 2016 was accepted into the Aspirant Pianist Masterclasses for Le Giornate del Cinema Muto (the world's largest silent film festival held in Pordenone, Italy).
Since then Meg has played for various international film festivals (Il Cinema Ritrovato, Flatpack, Nederlands Silent Film Festival) and received composition commissions from US company Kino Lorber (for Pioneers: First Women Filmmakers), and the British Film Institute (Marvelous Mabel Normand) - the later involving her jazz trio. Last year the trio also toured with a semi-improvised score for Hitchcock's thriller The Lodger:
